As we are about to celebrate Thanksgiving, it seems more important than ever to have a celebration with our ALPFAmilia. You are the reason the chapter exists, and there is truly no time more fitting to say THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
With this in mind, we invite you to join us on November 21st to meet with the 2015 Board of Directors of the San Francisco ALPFA chapter. We promise…there will definitely be some new faces!
We can’t wait to celebrate this special season with you.
ALPFA San Francisco is proud to announce our partnership with the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Child Health Program (CHP) and the Kaiser Permanente Latino Association (KPLA).
ALPFA SF wants to support affordable health coverage for all children by providing health insurance at a low or no cost at all to children eligible for the CHP. Even after the Affordable Care Act is implemented this year, it is estimated there will be more than 26 million people left uninsured – many of them children. Northern California has experienced membership loss in the Child Health Program because families have not taken advantage of applying.
We need your support to help us reach children to sign up for affordable health coverage through the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Child Health Program (CHP).
How you can help:
Attend the CHP Training on November 8th, 2014.
This training will teach you how to complete the two applications for children who meet the requirements for the CHP.
Date: November 8
Time: 10 AM – 12 PM
Where: Univision Offices, 50 Fremont St, Floor 41 San Francisco, CA 94105.
Words from the President
For over 20 years, we have been working with several business partners and community leaders in the Bay Area to empower Latinos to reach their leadership potential. Through our different programs we strive to develop a community of Latino business leaders that can serve as role models for generations to come.
As the president of the SF Chapter, I encourage you to join us in our efforts of building Latino business leaders that can make a difference in this country. Help us enhance access to higher education, jobs opportunities, and career advancement for Latinos. Please join us for one of our upcoming events, follow our social media and explore this website to learn more about ALPFA San Francisco!
